Building renovations: 50 percent bonus for the whole of 2019
Restructuring incentives 2019
After a series of doubts and uncertainties, the renovation bonus for houses and condominiums has also been extended for 2019, the IRPEF deduction percentage remains 50 percent.
Here are the details:
The extension of incentives for building renovations was confirmed in the draft 2019 Budget Law. The bonus for the purchase of furniture and large appliances also continues in 2019.
Finally, the 50 percent earthquake bonus has also been confirmed until 2021, with the possibility of increasing the deduction to 70 or 80 percent (75 or 85 percent in the case of condominiums) proportionally to the seismic improvement achieved.
Building renovations: 50 percent bonus for the whole of 2019
According to the provisions of the 2019 Budget Bill, also for the entire next year the expenses incurred for building renovation works (up to the spending ceiling of 96 thousand euros per property unit) will be able to benefit from the 50% deduction one hundred, to be divided into 10 annual installments of the same amount.
Ordinary maintenance is excluded (which is therefore not facilitated).
All bonuses linked to the renovation have been extended, as regards the furniture bonus, the spending ceiling of 10 thousand euros is the total of the expenses already incentivized in previous years.
Furniture bonus 2019
The furniture bonus has also been extended by one year, which applies to expenses for the purchase of furniture, large household appliances (of a class not lower to A+ or A for ovens) and other equipment for which the energy label is required. The spending ceiling of 10 thousand euros has been confirmed. The deduction is always 50 percent, to be spread over 10 annual installments of the same amount. This bonus can only be used if works incentivized by the building renovation bonus are carried out.
Be careful though, if you have already benefited from the furniture bonus in 2018 and in 2019 you intend to purchase other furnishings and/or appliances and deduct the related expense, you will have to deal with the overall ceiling of 10 thousand euros.
In essence, if, for example, in 2018 you have already benefited from the bonus for the purchase of new furniture for a total expense of 7 thousand euros, in 2019 you will have an incentive spending ceiling of 3 thousand euros.
